The Military Moving Center offers free and easy on-line access to connect essential services at a new home. The service can be used before arriving in the area provided the new address has been established.
With this service, utilities can selected and purchased, billing and payment methods can be chosen and utilities can be disconnect among many other services. The referral feature can connect members to a variety of services like self-storage facilities, local movers and alarm monitoring. Compare pricing and plan offerings from multiple service providers.

Electricity Deposit Clubs
Some of the defense credit unions have implemented a program, in cooperation with Dominion Virginia Power, to waive the security deposit for their customers. Members must maintain a minimal balance, plus pay a membership fee to join. This fee is non-refundable.
