Free military classifieds

*Only active-duty, retired military, their eligible family members and active or retired civil service employees are eligible for running a free classified ad in The Casemate.

How to submit Free ads

• New ads, renewals, corrections and cancellations can not be taken by phone and must be submitted via fax (757) 853-1634, or email to adswork@militarynews.com or mail to Casemate Classifieds, 258 Granby St. Norfolk, VA 23510.

• Ad Service is for active-duty, retired military, their eligible family members and active or retired civil service employees. (see disclaimer for Free Ads below). Unless resubmitted, ads run once.
• Each free ad is limited to 3 lines.
• Free ads cannot be of a commercial nature (i.e., business opportunities, help wanted, etc.) and must be personal property of the eligible member. They also should not represent a sustained income or business or be sold or listed through agents or representatives.
• The Classified editor reserves the right to edit or refuse ads based on advertising policies.
• You may submit a maximum of five advertisements per week, per household.
• Free ads will not be accepted via official mailing channels such as guard mail or postage and fees paid indicia.
• We cannot accommodate phone inquiries reqarding free classified ads.
• Renewals, corrections and cancellations cannot be taken by phone and must be resubmitted.
• Ads which are illegible, too long or otherwise do not conform to instructions will not be published and must be resumbitted for the next issue.
• Automotive ads must begin with make, model and year (in this order).
• Real Estate ads must begin with the name of the city, followed by the neighborhood (if known).
• If the ad does not appear, it will run the following week, unless it is canceled.
• Free ads will also be published in the Jet Observer, The Wheel, and The Fighter based on availability.

Paid classifieds

· Cost for advertising in the Casemate is $2.50 per line Open Rate (net), with a three line minimum.
· There is an additional $1 per week charge for first three words or first line in BOLD.
· Paid classified ads are required to be prepaid with Visa, Master Card, cash, check or money order.
· Ads can also be submitted by phone at (757) 222-3974 or fax at (757) 853-1634 or email at insidesales@militarynews.com. You can mail your ad to: Casemate Classifieds, 258 Granby Street, Norfolk, VA 23510.

Advertising Deadline: Thursday at 5pm, 1 week prior to publication

Classified Disclaimer: The Casemate Classifieds is a copyrighted publication. Reproduction in any form is strictly forbidden. The Casemate Classifieds shall not be liable for failure to publish an ad or for a typographical error or errors in publication (in print or online) except for the portion of the ad wherein the error occurred. If you find errors or omissions in your ad you must notify The Casemate Classifieds within 5 days from that date of the publication.
