Rear Admiral Boensel Praises Local Community for CFC Efforts
Special Section: Combined Federal Campaign 2009
The U.S. Office of Personnel Management is charged with overseeing all Combined Federal Campaigns (CFC) award certificates for outstanding performance to CFC organizations that achieved outstanding results during the 2008 CFC drive. The South Hampton Roads CFC was recognized, among a select few, for a 13.9 percent increase in giving over the previous year’s drive.
According to Boensel, “I give high praise to our local Federal community for their impressive and inspiring generosity, and I am pleased that we were recognized for our outstanding performance. The other important winners in this annual voluntary effort are the agencies who serve an array of human needs day in and day out.”
Ann Painter, director of the South Hampton Roads CFC, stated that the upcoming CFC drive will start on Sept. 8 and conclude Dec. 15, similar to past drives. She is hopeful that this year’s results will also merit outstanding performance recognition.
