“As a Girl Scout, I learned that if you didn’t bring enough water or you didn’t bring enough food, then you didn’t have it with you on the side of a mountain when camp was set up,” Moore said. “Being resourceful and acting responsibly are skills I still use today.”

After faithfully serving my country for 25 years, I decided it was time for me to give back to the local communities in the surrounding areas.

Having both a blood disease and a severe skin condition would be a real hardship for anyone. But consider how overwhelming it would be if, in addition to dealing with a major illness, treatment, prescriptions and their side effects, you also had to struggle just to get to the doctor’s office.
